Writing 101 [5]: Hook ’em with a quote

I find in myself desires which,

nothing in this world can satisfy.

the only logical explanation is,

I was made for another world.

C.S Lewis

Writing about a quote is like doing my old job (which I did love, but, due to time constraints… sigh)

But here, faith has lead me back (for once, at least) on quoting, and this quote well.. it really fits with most of my thoughts when I start doubting about life and reality.

Castles. Travelling. Adventure. Dragons. Wings. Hogwarts. Mordor. Tyrion Lannister.

Maybe I was made for another world. Maybe that’s why books exist – to satisfy our other worldly desires?

Thank God chocolate and tea are real and here on earth O.o

Don’t be so Comfortable

Just recently, I read this quote and it has been bothering me. Nagging at me. Irritating me. This quote, in its simplest form is nothing but a reminder, but it is such a reminder that if you ponder on it, you will know the impact it would have on all things that currently don’t matter as much as you think they would.

And it’s another Thursday of Quotes that I have missed! But nevertheless, Here is one for last week:

Its this one quote that really inspires me. And the truth that it holds is much more intriguing and motivational.

Once you set your mind and aim for your task that lies ahead, no matter how difficult, you would have gone nothing more but at least one step forward from where you were. Your determination will lead you and your direction will only be success.
And, you will realize it was success all along that you even moved forward. It was your learning and the knowledge you gained through your difficulties that helped you grow.

And that is how you get back on track; if you ever forget or falter in the middle of something that you wanted but start to question.

I miss reading, writing, blogging to you all, and to me. I miss the time when I started blogging, when I had SO many topics in my mind to blog about, so much time to actually blog.

I miss reading all the blogs on the Reader.

Reading is really a Luxury. No-  it is more of a blessing, really.

I fear I am forgetting how to read, write and blog. In fact, for reading, it’s not that I have no time to read, but I don’t have the convenience, the will to enthusiastically read anymore. I have not read a single book since the start of this year. I feel like a blessing has been snatched away from me. I don’t feel like reading anymore. I hope I don’t feel this way about blogging. Today, right now, after such a long time, I feel like I am back, if not, home.

I hope I make it possible to have my old interests and my new (and Boring) schedule parallel with each other. Maybe, that’s how I’ll find peace again?
