Around this time last year, I was looking forward to Blogging 101, the blogging course for newbies like me (as well as the old bloggers; I had seen some bloggers taking up the course for the 2nd or 3rd time as well). If you see my first ever blog post, it will be dated January 5th 2015. My first ever post and my first ever course.
A year has passed and it feels just like yesterday, that I was all hyped up and excited, checking and re checking the course page. Reading comments and replies of fellow blogging collegues and waiting till the first assignment was posted so that I could get the push to start off blogging.
So much has happened. New things adopted, old responsibilities continued or left out. Letting go of those who moved on, by moving on myself, and embracing the company of the ones in the present.
Change is the punch in your face which is, and always will be the only thing that is constant in life. Its up to you how, and how well you take that punch.
“Never forget what you are. The rest of the world will not. Wear it like armor, and it can never be used to hurt you.”
Just retyping the quote won’t make me happy.
I love this show because of the quick wit and wisdom of this character.
He had said this to Jon Snow, who actually is an illegitimate child of a Lord (plot is set in the medieval times). What really gets me about this quote is the way he had said it to Jon; not only advising him but this also showed a dept as to how he had come to be what he is – as it can be seen through out the show . His out of the ordinary quotes will make you like him more than before (not necessarily a character development, but you get to see what he really is like).

It should have been fiction. Something imaginative, with characters and swords and snow. My kind of a new posting style – because I have not been “fictional” yet. I will try it soon enough because I don’t have enough time (or an idea), but today I felt like sharing a quote from this book (as I also haven’t posted quotes).
I once saw this book when I was 15. I thought it would be mature content (and it is) so I decided to buy it later -if it was in my fate- and it was.
I took the fate a bit for granted, and this book joined the “to be read one day” list (in my defense, I had my studies in my way)
Then one day I felt guilty and I read it. And came upon this sentence, this quote:
Prompts… and SO many to choose from! I had been searching for one (I found the “Under the Snow Prompt” but I dropped the idea. It needs time, sunlight, water and air to grow). So I decided on “This is your song” – I had been meaning to share this marvelous song for a long time and, I guess it’s time.
This is a really amazing song from the TV Show Nashville (2012). It has the best catchy country songs I have ever heard. Each of the songs have a meaning behind the characters’ story or feelings (who are also very talented singers and actors) and just wow me.
This, honestly is not my song, but if push comes to shove, this becomes my song. I love Hayden Panettiere’s energy for this song (known as Juliette Barnes in this show), the music, the meaning behind the song and the reason as well.
Her career was on the verge of downfall; the audience started to go against her, in fact, her fans turned against her because Continue reading
You ask me if I got inspired by any other blogger? Haha. When did a blogger not inspire me, I’d ask. Any blog/post link I click on, any words, any passages I read, all that happens to me is inspiration, admiration- on the fact that so many people do so many things – its just wonderful. I learn more every time I click on a link and all I can say is they all have done nothing but increased my experience AND knowledge.
So yay, I am accomplishing my blog goals – and its all thanks to you guys!
So I shall continue with today’s assignment. The blogger that has inspired me and my comment on one of their post.
Hello Ms. Fffrail. I hope I don’t startle you, but your post and your writing really did make the gears in my brain work – which, is in a good sense by the way. As in, I really liked your review, and it became my inspiration and thus I write about it.
I am not sure if ill be able to do justice to your post, but, here I go.
Assignment 5 – last of this week – and I have done it late!
Trying out new themes was engaging, entertaining, yet tedious and, disappointing at the end.
With a not- so-set theme in mind, a random desired effect (rose pink header, black/grey font for header and a grey background) just popped out on the screen while I was experimenting, and, more ideas for the color combo stormed in my brain. Continue reading
Who am I looking at when I blog?
Well, I am looking at the screen *ba-dum-tss* (apologies for the bad joke, couldn’t help it 😀 )
The reason I started this blog was to reach out. To people I don’t know, who know things I don’t know of (countless of things, I can’t even put them as a list), poets, critics, readers, fellow bloggers, bungee jumpers, scuba divers – I never had any certain reader in mind.
