Writing 101 [16]: Mine your own material

Picture1

the day I felt the world

closing in on me,

I looked up in protest

and found a sky full of stars.

Twinkling silver specks,

turned the dark sky bright,

I looked up in awe

and saw the stars shine

I knew it was no magic

I knew it could not be fate

for when I looked up, I saw

those stars were there for me.

While I sat under the dark sky,

twinkled by the starlight,

I looked up and felt the world

showering a smile down on me.

Hope glittered in light,

time stopped for a moment,

As I looked up and saw,

A sky full of stars.

The picture above is silver glitter on my side table and I did not actually get the inspiration for a poem from it. In fact, this title was mean’t for a story ..or something. But then, here it is, the random poetry that comes out…randomly.

Here is a list of ideas I have/had which are meant to be “blogged”. This picture has been manipulated to look neater, or else you would have been suffering reading my handwriting (which is, stereotypically, closer to a doctor’s handwriting)

Writing 101 [4]: A story in a single image.

A Fish that could Fly.

Maybe if we look,

deep down inside,

we might end up finding,

a fish that could fly?

With strong wings to touch the sky,

hidden from accusing eyes

Solemn ways, tired of frays,

choosing a swim; rather than

the worth of flight?

Maybe, if we look,

deep down inside,

we might end up finding,

that we are the fish that could fly?

With strong wings to touch the sky,

hidden from accusing eyes

Solemn ways, tired of frays,

choosing a swim; rather than

the worth of flight?

Cheesy, yes. Confusing, definitely. This is a try and well, I know I could do better but I like my words here. And the message.

Even 10% of my message is identified, I’ll do a cartwheel (no, just kidding – I can’t even do a hand stand – if it even is difficult than a cartwheel)

Thank you for reading! 🙂

Making the words dance

3002042

In a distance,

where the sky meets the earth, his beloved.

The only shadow

that dares divide them; the horizon.

Stretches on forever.

But, they meet

not in secret

When the light darkens

and the dark lightens,

For they are forever

meant to be together, completing each other

Making a full circle,

As long lasting as time,

And so much as one longs for the other.

When you’re gone…

When you’re gone,

I weep not.

I pray not, I miss you not.

When you’re gone,

the time stops.

I take its hand, and make it move on with me.

When you’re gone,

when you’re gone, when you’re gone….

Just another one of my fail, untimely poetry.

What I wanted to post here was nothing but another one of my depressing excuse of why I have not been active. But then I thought, handling real life and being active can definitely go on hand in hand, but not by a disorganised human like me. But then again, here I am – I can’t give up. I can’t seem to give up.

And what is it that I would be giving up in actuality?

I have a few posts, a little bit of “roots”of blogging here. A bit of my mind for 8-  no, 5 months approx. What I have here is my thoughts that I would a billion times think before sharing on facebook. What I have here is appreciation, advice – everything I seek in humans when offline.

Rantings and rantings and I’ll never stop.

But I like that. Rantings. Discussion. Ideas. Brain Storming. Thinking out of the box. Everything about everything.

I tried crocheting a few days ago. The most basic and beginners “braid” stitch I’d call it. I tried to make a round mat. But as I started to sew it, It turned into a bowl! Yes readers, a bowl. I didn’t give up – yet. But I gues this counts as learning (never stitch a crochet tightly – you’ll get a bowl instead of a flat mat)

Au Revoir until next time!

Alice

P.S – If it were you, anyone who’s reading this, what story would you come up with a title “An Innocent Criminal”?

A bit of found poetry- His Masterpiece.

The Dancing Puppet.

653-06534184er

As she appeared, on the stage, she gave a bow in modest. Her hands were limp, her knees were bent, she almost looked ragged. She then began, with a smile on her face, to carry out her performance. (a smile which never left, we all felt it couldn’t.)

She danced in the pretty dress that she wore, and it swirled round and round, never touching the ground for sure. She then waved her arms over her head, and rose above the floor – which then led to her biggest move, dropping her down, like a ballerina in a frown.

Hero/Heroine – Ballad, anaphora and epistrophe

superhero

Have you ever looked in a mirror?

Have you ever yourself seen?

Have you ever believed?

That you are all the hero that you need.

If you make angels out of people

If you make them a hero that you see

How will you make yourself believe
