A Real-Neat Blog Award!

real-neat-blog-award

An award after a long time! ( huehuehue )

I am humbled to accept this award and would like to thank Izzy from Izzy-grabs-life for nominating me for the Real Neat Blog award. (She had nominated me months ago. I saw this post in my draft and when I re-read the questions, My brain itched me to post it)

Awards are fun in the sense that the questions that the nominator comes up with really make you think on aspects you would normally disregard. As in, thinking that you don’t have time for it – but, when you take on those questions seriously, you realize what a treasure you have been really missing out on.

The rules:

  • Put the award logo on your blog.
  • Answer 7 questions asked by the person who nominated you.
  • Thank the people who nominated you, linking to their blog.
  • Nominate any number of bloggers you like, linking to their blogs.
  • Let them know you nominated them (by commenting on their blog, etc.)

And here the the questions that made the gears in my brain work: (and to be honest, they are brilliant)

The Questions:

1. Can you describe the four seasons in sounds? Good! Now, please, show us what you came up with. ^_^

Summer (Sizzle). hahaha; the heat.

Spring (twinkle) imagine a flower blossoming; if we heard “twinkling” when every flower bud blossomed

Autumn (Swoosh) the sound of the wind

Winter; what all I can imagine. But for me, silence would fit this one. Or perhaps, the purr of a cat, the cracking of fire in the fireplace, the whistle of the kettle brewing warm tea, and the silence and serenity of admiring the white snow that blankets whatever it touches. Cold snow that blankets – ah, the irony.

2. Who is your favorite fictional protagonist? Antagonist? Why?

a. Tyrion Lannister

Tyrion Lannister. The name Lannister would make you scorn but the only living member of the Lannister family that anyone would fall in love with is this guy. Witty, fearless, kind, undaunted – just plain awesome.

He may be a dwarf, but he has the shadow of a king.

b. Neville Longbottom. Because:

There are all kinds of courage,’ said Dumbledore, smiling. ‘It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends.

It was in that moment (actually, when I really understood the meaning of this sentence at a random age) That I fell in love with the personality and the character of Neville Longbottom.
And then who could forget how he stood up against Voldemort? Just. Brave.

c. And then Koro-sensei from Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (in simple terms, “Assassination Classroom”). This teacher is an Octopus alien (?-still unknown as the story is still unravelling till the chapter I have reached) for a very disregarded classroom. He is the target; and the students are the assassins. Why I like him is because of his devotion towards the students’ studies and the commitment to overcome their fear of being inferior.

3. What do you feel most proud of this week (so far)?

Not going astray from my word.

4. What did you want to be when you were little?

A Veterinarian. I loved (and still love) animals. And an artist.

5. How do you spend your free time (even if it’s a few minutes)?

Day dreaming – for which I need not be free tehehe 😛

6. What skill would you like to learn and why?

Scuba Diving. Really. The ocean is vast and I would love to go underwater and discover it.

7. What does being strong mean to you?

Strong. It is being able to know your own strength yet being wary of the strength of others and try not to overpower them and bring them to a disadvantage because of their shortcomings. In simple terms, to be strong is not just with weights; it is with the heart, by being kind.

And, it also means to stand up for yourself or what you believe even when you have to do it alone, and when you are unsure of what is about to happen. And that my friends/readers, is when you become brave.
